Bucket List..

I am following Two Mom's with a Plan's lead and posting my bucket list... she had her birthday yesterday-- and mine is next month, and I thought it was a good idea.

I tried to make it obtainable.. I could put a bunch of different bullet points about climbing Mt. Everest and finding my way out of the rain forest.. but ew... why would I want to? That's what they make trams and tour guides for.

Things to do before I die:
(as if it is a good thing to dwell more on my death) ( ugh.)

In no order:

  • Go to Las Vegas
  • Learn to knit
  • Throw a big kitchy flamingo party where everyone has to wear pink-- and DOES.
  • Lose 85lbs. (not BECAUSE I am dying.. but to prolong it a bit)
  • Drive to the Northwest coast (Oregon)-- and stay in a cabin on the ocean... then fly back.
  • Quit my day job to become a stay at home mom- and be REALLY good at it
  • Learn how to make a really yummy meal- and have a big dinner party
  • Learn how to drive stick
  • Bike the Elroy Sparta Trail
  • Volunteer with gay teens
  • Take a photography class
  • Buy rental property
  • Spend a week(end) on a silent retreat -- I could NEVER do a whole week.
  • join a league of some sort...
  • Travel to: Trinidad, P-Town, Scotland, Nova Scotia,
  • Have a past life regression
  • See the Paulding Light and the Porcupine Mountains
  • Attend Big Top Chautauqua
  • Go kayaking
  • Take a cruise

Okay- I think that is about it for now-- anyone else want to make a list?

A cruise is definitely a great way to vacation! Ohh, and P-town is one of our favorite destinations. When you go, Women's Week (in Oct) is always fun! We go every year - one of the perks of living in New England..

I would be so stressed to come up with a bucket list. There's so much I want to do! Good luck with yours.

You're right, my work drama does sound like an episode of The Office. I actually thought of that at one point. Hey, if you like The Office, you should check out Modern Family. That show is freaken hilarious. It's on ABC.

Bucket List, ey?

Well...
I'd like to visit Ireland, Scotland and England. And do some touristy stuff, but mostly just talk to townies.

Have an enjoyable and productive job. That I look forward to going to.

Have a loving and understanding and supportive family. (hubby ,kids)

Be able to have a conversation with my immediate family where no one cares what any one thinks or if you'll say something taboo. I want it all out in the open! No more secrets!

I want to live to see my children decide what their life plans are. Marriage? World traveler? Homeless person? Whatever it is, I want to witness it.

Honestly, for my husband to "make it" and get to stop working so hard and stuggeling all the time. I'd like him to enjoy life. "Before he kicks the bucket."

and my last one I'd like to stop walking past something that needs to be done at home and I think, "Oh that's right. I needed to sign that. and then I keep on walking until I walk past it again..." etc, etc.

Love the list! Lots of yours are definitely obtainable, especially the cruise part :) :) :) We're thinking of going sometime in 2010 - I should hijack you and make you come :D That way you could do three of your bucket list items at once:

The cruise will make you want to lose weight, so you can eat like a whale when you get there because it's unlimited amounts of wonderful goodness.

Then you will go on the cruise.

Then you will take a kayaking excursion on the cruise, in the crystal blue water, and see dolphins and seals and other nature goodness.

See? Good plan.

Great to see Nova Scotia on your bucket list! If we can ever be of any advice on trip planning, don't hesitate to give us a shout. Until then, here's a primer on our beautiful part of Nova Scotia's Atlantic Coast:
