No- not a dyslexic form of American Idol. I am talking about Internet Addiction.
I really think I have an issue. I am on the computer ALL DAY at work. Literally. I can multi-task like Kate Gosslien pre nanny's. The issue comes in when I am out of work. I am still totally connected... iPhone, computers etc.
From this point forward, I am going to make a huge effort to not even turn on the computer when I get home. I am going to plug in my phone and leave it alone. I have books to read, rugs to hook, a wiff (not legally my wife) to love-up. I have so many projects that I am ignoring, it is ridiculous. I have a gym I belong to, and soon a bike to train on.
I think I get enough internet time in during the day.... and I am getting paid for it!!!
Does anyone else struggle with this, or am I on a lonely boat all by myself drifting in the middle of some big ocean like.. the Atlantic, Pacific or .... wait.. are there only two oceans? I need to google this.
Hope you are all well.

I know I've been on too long when I'm driving past a tree filled with oranges or lemons and want to push a button to pick them all (no thanks to farmville).
I spend a lot of time on the computer every day but that's where my biggest hobby is stored (my pictures). At times though I know I have to re balance my efforts.
You are not the only one Casey. I think it's a way to escape from reality. Lots of people do it in all different ways. Books, TV, Computer, video games, etc.
I'm right there with ya! Same thing - bored at work, so surfin the net ALL dang day - then catch myself on my laptop at home while my wife (not legal either) watches tv... so lame! It's a mental escape for me, but still!
I used to be slightly more addicted to the internet...now I come on randomly and read a few blogs and the news...but if I don't for a few days, I okay with it.
Bake more cookies. ;-)
You're not the only one. This is one of the reasons why I closed down 2momswithaplan and disconnected from the other ttc communities because it is so easy to be pulled in and forget about the real world that is happening around you.
I once stayed away from facebook for a WHOLE WEEK! Holly never felt more loved than she did that week. Sad, isn't it?
"I'm Casey, and I have Internet addiction".
"Hi Casey"!
Admitting it is the first step.
Good luck!
